Paula O. Ashby Scholarship

The Paula O. Ashby Scholarship is available to one student who is pursuing a degree in an Allied Health program. Eligible students must have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and sophomore level status. Paula Ashby was a beloved UMBC Academic Advisor who had a passion for helping students in general, but especially those pursuing an allied health pathway.

Gowda Scholarship

This merit-based scholarship is awarded to in-state students interested in pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, with preference given to residents of Prince George’s County or students who graduated from a high school in the county. The scholarship will be merit based, although financial need may also be considered.

EMS Diversity Scholarship

NAEMT announces a new diversity scholarship to help support underrepresented groups in joining the EMS profession. Also to promote the development of greater diversity in the EMS workforce so that our workforce reflects the communities that we serve. NAEMT will award up to four scholarships of $1,250 that may be used for tuition, fees and books.

Scholarships will be awarded to students of color who do not hold an EMS certification but who intend to become an EMS practitioner. Recipients will have demonstrated financial need, as well as a commitment to community service.

Houston Methodist DEI Summer Scholarship Program

The Houston Methodist Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Summer Scholarship Program is a hands-on and immersive 10-week experience designed to broaden the student’s perspective of career possibilities in the health care industry.

Scholars work with their preceptor during the full time (40 hours per week) program in a non-clinical department to learn more about operations and career opportunities in health care. In addition to working in their assigned departments, the scholars are also able to participate in professional development sessions.

 

UMSOP Campaign of Scholarships for

Underrepresented Minorities in Regulatory Science

The goal of this campaign is to secure funding for scholarships and fellowships for underrepresented minorities enrolled in the MS in Regulatory Science program at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in order to create opportunities and amplify needed minority voices in this field. Regulatory science is the science of developing new tools, standards, and approaches to assess the safety, efficacy, quality, and performance of FDA-regulated products.
