Pre-Dental Hygiene Advising

Students who are interested in pursuing Pre-Dental Hygiene should indicate their interest by completing the Declaration of Major form. Students will then be assigned an advisor in the Office for Academic & Pre-Professional Advising. If a student is interested in also pursuing a major at UMBC and graduating first from UMBC, they should first plan to see their major advisor to discuss both major and general requirements.

Common Pre-Requisites

We have provided a list of common pre-requisites necessary for admission to Dental Hygiene programs. It is important to note that this list is not inclusive of all programs. It is the responsibility of the student to communicate with schools you are interested in attending and determine what/if any additional requirements are needed.
