MSN Pre-Nursing Partnership Pathway Sample Schedule

Second Degree Pre-Nursing Pathway

The four year pathway provides a lot of flexibility for completing Pre-Nursing courses while also completing an academic major at UMBC.  This is just one example of how students can complete their pre-requisite courses.  Students following the four year plan should work closely with both their Academic Major and the Pre-Nursing Advisor to schedule courses in a manner that works best for them.

Fall & Spring Fourth Year

Ideally students have completed all of their Pre-Nursing courses by this year.

* For students pursuing STEM majors, there may be additional math courses required before they can take the alternative BIOL and CHEM courses.

** STEM majors must take BIOL 375 instead of BIOL 273.  This course is only offered in SPRING.  All students take BIOL 273L and that is offered every semester

For students having trouble fitting Pre-Nursing courses into their regular semester, almost every prerequisite is offered in the summer sessions as well.
