EDHS 230 - Community Lifelines
What is needed to bring a community back together?
Fall 2024 class on Tuesday and Thursday 1pm - 2:15 pm
Lifelines are the most fundamental services in the community that, when
stabilized, enable all other aspects of society. When disrupted due to
disasters or public health emergencies, decisive intervention (e.g.,
rapid service re-establishment or employment of contingency response
solutions) is required. Different population groups experience different levels of impact based on societal inequities. This course will provide a comprehensive
overview of community lifelines, how they are disrupted during disaster
and public health emergencies, and the human health impacts of their
disruption.
